Meet Chapman’s Restaurant Head Chef
Chef Andy Lowe studied at Thanet College, during which time he did work experience in Paris & Holland, and came runner-up in a national competition. After college he worked as a pastry chef in a number of 4- and 5-star hotels before moving back to Kent.
Since then he has honed his skills with fish in a seaside gastro pub and a seafood restaurant before taking up his first Head Chef position at Chapman’s. This is an ideal position for him as with the support of an established local supplier he has access to the highest quality local fish & shellfish. He enjoys using locally sourced produce and cooking traditional dishes with a contemporary twist.
When not in the kitchen he enjoys cooking for friends, eating out, watching movies, seeing live bands, reading & playing bass guitar.
